Delcar: Multi-generational Meddler.
I found the funniest blog about the sims this past weekend, and [since Sims 3 is around the corner] the Sims 2 stuff has gotten cheap + Chrismas gift cards (I'm a cheap bastard, whatayya want?) so I'm now officially inspired to make what will likely be a parody of the campaign.
Check out this awesome blog which I blame for really re-igniting my interest. Specifically the Laurince Legacy has made me laugh out loud dozens of times. :D
Note: Most of these character names/relationships are going to be nonsensical if you don't check out the 'character biographies'/cast of characters.
Resources
Installed: The Sims2 Double Deluxe, University, Open For Business, Pets.
I'm not hugely interested in Seasons (I'm a native Floridian, we don't have seasons the way y'all do) or Bon Voyage, and the only way I'm every getting stuff packs is if they're bundled. Too much good *free stuff* on the web. Freetime? Maybe.
Apartment life? Don't make me laugh. I don't mind torturing sims, but even I have some standards. :)
Mod the Sims 2 - Freesite + teh awesome outweighs the slow download times. I can damn near one-stop 'shop' here.

The Count and Countess Blackheart [Sims family name: Blackheart]
- Delcar (Options include the 'midnight' skin by Louis, JB's midnight, and the Raven skin by HystericalParoxysm. Zoen makes a great one too, but not a match for Delcar. Stretchskin cheat to make him short, and I may need to find a slimmer base body, since it compacts him.
- Neltara (Stretchskeleton set to .7 ish makes her short, cute and yet still have adult features)
Dame Rashida, Sir Reigar and the kids. [Sims family name: Greenskin :P]
Some variation of the skins unlocked by treeaq and whatever I recolor. Rashida should be oliveish but still green, while Reigar could feasably use anything that says 'hey I can't help that my dad was green' to just a hint of green on a normal skintone.

Sir Bedemere on reflection, I've started him as a young man to play through and hopefully get the money and aspiration awards kick-started. His backstory is flexible enough, and it will give me some practice. He could end up being the most important sim.
Also in Sims terms he's the only one that should start as an elder, so I may as well play him up to it.
By way of cheating without cheating... kind of... I've made a young Sir Bedemere move into stock Veronaville. Whether or not this is the Bedemere the kids know, or his ancestor will depend on how well he does.
Sadly, unless some modders get REALLY darn clever, the centaur has to go.
