Return to Greyhawk is the continuing adventures surrounding the machinations of one Delcar o’ th’ Dark Heart.

His origins are clouded in a distant past.  He was born in the dark underworld of the Drow and his early years are not atypical of a male Drow.  As a male, Delcar was a subservient slave to his matriarch and forced to menial labor.  He was constantly set against his brothers and they in turn against him as well.  His talent in magery spared him little and he was taught to employ his magic for the benefit to the matriarchy.

In time Delcar determined to rid himself of this wretched life, and departed to eek out an existence above ground, killing several siblings to gain his freedom.

Life above ground was difficult as most intelligent people kill Drow on sight (and with good reason, mind you.)

In time he was able to convince a few top siders of his value and with some protection, began life anew.  Once the Mages Guild of Greyhawk recognized his potential and accepted his guarded loyalty, his life began to look much brighter.

Delcar has traveled widely and seen many wonderous and terrifying things.  As of late, he’s received some premonitions regarding a diabolical effort to enslave his home world of Oerth.  He has some years to prepare for it and that is why he has positioned himself where he has . . .

In the current campaign we find Delcar has acquired a County with the accompanying honorifics and titles.  He’s purposefully perched himself on the border of Iuz and the Horned Society, both noted for their subservience to evil and having sorcerers who dabble in diabolical schemes.

On his way to accept his newly acquired title and lands, Delcar began collecting students of unparalleled potential (mostly in magery) whom he could train and bring up in order to prepare them for the upcoming onslaught.

Delcar’s storied reputation has preceded him and he’s finding considerable interest in his dealings.  Some bad, but mostly support.  His school for mage/knights has intrigued several pre-eminent families and Delcar’s school in attracting students far and wide.
