There are a few different areas you can log in at with Site on Demand and mail2web.com. How do you know which one to use? Choosing the right place to log in at depends on what type of actions you are trying to complete.
mail2web.com Control Panel The mail2web.com Control panel, which is located at https://support.mail2web.com is used for managing your high-level Account Settings and Billing Details. You cannot manage your site content from your control panel, but you can perform a number of other high level administrative tasks, such as the following: - Updating your Contact and Billing Information
- Making a Payment for your account
- Adding additional features like Vanity SSL or Exchange Email
- Changing your account or Site on Demand password
Main Login on your Site There is also a login area located on the front page of your site. This is the primary login area if you want to add or edit content on your site. Other members of your site can also log in there to contribute content, review or edit content, and publish content to your site. This includes some of the following content types: - News & News Flashes
- FAQs
- Web Links
- Blog Entries
- Photo Gallery items
- Forum Posts
Administrator Login The administrator login is the area where you can manage all other aspects of your site and its content. In addition to being able to do all the same tasks that you can from the main login, you can also perform a number of additional tasks. These type of administrative tasks include some of the following: - Adding or Editing Menus
- Changing the look and feel of your site
- Adding or Changing Templates
- Managing your Online Store
- Managing other components like Banners, Contacts, News Feeds, Polls, etc.
- User Management and Global Configuration
In general, all content and features of your actual site can be managed from the Administrator Login. However if you are just editing simple content items, usually the main login with have what you need and will be easier to navigate through. If you want to manage anything relating to your account but not related to the actual content of your site, the mail2web.com Control Panel is the place to go to. |
