How can I enable additional components on my site?

There are a number of pre-installed components that you can easily enable on your site, adding a number of popular features which are in use on many sites.  You too can have your own Forum, Photo Gallery, Blog or Online Store. These components are actually already enabled on your site.  All you need to do is configure the component, and add it to your menu.

To configure the various pre-installed components, you can log into your Site on Demand administration page an on the left side of the page, click on the Components tab. You'll see a number of components listed there.  By following the link for each component, you'll be able to get started configuring the content to be used in that component.

Once you have fully configured the component, you'll want to add it to your menu so visitors can start using it.  From the Menu menu, select mainmenu. Click on the New button and select Component and then Next. Enter the Name of the menu item, and then select the component from the list provided. Here is a partial list of some of the more popular components.

  • Blog: Mamblog
  • Photo Gallery: Gallery 2
  • Forum: Joomlaboard Forum
  • Online Store: VirtueMart
