Restaurant reviewing is going to posess some interesting challenges for me because I consider myself a good cook.
Indeed, I really don't spend a lot of time out in restaurants because, I can ussually do a much better job cooking ANY meal than what you'll find in any given restaurant.
The exception is going to be the Asian cuisine. Being a good only American kid who grew up in the midwest, from a Norwegian immigrant mother, she didn't know a lick about cooking Asian food.
Still, I picked up a love for eating food with chopsticks (I actually find that I can't eat Asian food without chopsticks. It's on the same level of "wrong" as it would be to try to eat fried chicken with a fork and knife. [Now I know that there's probably someone out there who eats their fried chicken with a fork and knife {like say the Queen Mum over the pond} who absolutely MUST eat fried chicken with a fork and knife, and I don't intend to give offense, but if you're really going to be successful in eating a fried chicken, you're going to need to use your fingers.]) |
