I've been re-learning NBOS software (http://www.nbos.com/)'s Fractal Mapper (I use 7.1, its good, but their version 8 looks better.  I'll eventually get it.) I really like Eric Hotz (http://www.erichotz.com/)'s 'hand drawn' symbols, and between those and some of Cumberland Games (http://www222.pair.com/sjohn/cumberland.htm) fonts, I'm happy with the map thus far. UPDATED 27MAR10 - the key is intact, and the political stuff is started.  Theres also the zoomed in campaign map available.
